2023 In collaboration with the musician, writer and artist GAIKA (@gaikasees) einaidea presents TURBULENCE AT BLACK BAY GRENADA as part of Sónar Festival 2023. Featuring KIDÄ (@kidaskyblue) and with extensive archival curation by Dr Hannah Elsisi, this sonic, performative and immersive visual project is an epic exploration of chaos and collective reckoning that moves through rituals of social revolt and tectonic rupture across Grenada, Egypt and the African diaspora. The turbulence that these sonic rites incite spans from dancehall, triphop and noise to Arab Maqam and Saharan blues.


En colaboración con el músico, escritor y artista GAIKA (@gaikasees), einaidea presenta TURBULENCE AT BLACK BAY GRENADA como parte del Sónar Festival 2023. Con KIDÄ (@kidaskyblue) y una extensa curaduría de archivo de la Dr Hannah Elsisi, este proyecto visual sonoro, performativo e inmersivo es una exploración épica del caos y ajuste de cuentas colectivo que se mueve a través de rituales de revuelta social y ruptura tectónica en Grenada, Egipto y la diáspora africana. La turbulencia que provocan estos ritos sonoros abarca desde el dancehall, el triphop y el noise hasta el Arab Maqam y el Saharan blues.

2022An (ficticious) event to learn and enjoy African urban dances. Talks, workshops, battles and a final round up party.  “Gbese” is a Nigerian-Yoruba expression, a word to command someone to lift up their leg, body, commonly use in dance and party enviromemt. 


Un evento (ficticio) para aprender y disfrutar de las danzas urbanas africanas. Charlas, workshops, batallas y una fiesta final de “round up”. “Gbese” es una expresión nigeriana-Yoruba, una palabra para ordenarle a alguien que levante la pierna, el cuerpo. Se utiliza sobretodo en espacios de bailes y fiesta.
