Una representación de la negritud en Barcelona a partir de la experiencia de jóvenes negrxs y afrodescendiente que habitan en ella.
Negritud, término utilizado por primera vez en 1934 en la revista “L’Étudiant Noire” (El estudiante negro) por el poeta y político martiniqués, Aimé Césaire en Francia. La negritud corresponde a un movimiento literario surgido de la reacción contra la opresión del sistema colonial francés y el racismo. No se trata de una doctrina o un manifiesto, sino un concepto que busca la igualdad, celebrar la cultura y valorar las raíces culturales comunes, una cultura que rebasa fronteras.

Negritude, a term used for the first time in 1934 in the magazine “L’Étudiant Noire” (The Black Student) by the Martinique poet and politician, Aimé Césaire in France. Negritude is a literary movement that emerged from the reaction against the oppression of the French colonial system and racism. It is not a doctrine or a manifesto, but a concept that seeks equality, celebrate culture and value common cultural roots, a culture that transcends borders.
Del 25 de mayo al 25 de Junio de 2023, se hizo una instalación expositiva en Periferia Cimarronas (Teatro y espacio cultural que apoya las creaciones artísticas de las personas racializadas, emigradadas y sexo género disidentes) @periferiacimarronas. El 25 de mayo (Conmemoración del Día de África), día de la inauguración, se llevó a cabo un conservatorio con Fatou, la directora del colectivo afroqueer Nea Onnim @neaonnim.eu con interacción del público presente. En la instalación había dos fanzines con las cartas recibidas (respondiendo a la pregunta ¿cuando se dieron cuenta que son negrxs?), QR's de los audios de cada persona con las que tuve las conversaciones grabadas y un par de fotografías (que más adelante también aparecen en el libro).
From 25th May to 25th June of 2023, an exhibition was made at Periferia Cimarronas (Theater and cultural space that supports the artistic creations of racialized people, emigrants and gender dissidents) @periferiacimarronas. On 25th (Africa Commemoration Day), the opening day, a conservatory was held with Fatou, the director of the Afroqueer collective Nea Onnim @neaonnim.eu interacting with the public too. In the installation there were two fanzines with the letters received (answering the question, when did you realize you are black?), QR's of the audios of each person with whom I had a recorded conversations with and a couple of photographs (which later also appear in the book).
